Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a season-best performance in their 27-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Kansas City Chiefs stayed undefeated on Sunday, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders, 27-20, for their second divisional win of the season.
Fittingly, on National Tight Ends Day, Travis Kelce had his best performance of the season so far. Kelce led all receivers with ten catches for 90 yards and a touchdown, his first of the season.

Kelce’s performance provided a much-needed boost to the Chiefs’ offense, who were without JuJu Smith-Schuster and were still trying to get DeAndre Hopkins incorporated into the offense after they traded for him earlier in the week. Hopkins finished the game with two receptions for 29 yards.
Kelce had been struggling with production prior to this week. Through seven games, he had just 245 receiving yards and no touchdowns, which would put him on-pace for easily the worst season of his career.
With the help of Kelce’s performance, Patrick Mahomes also had one of his best games of the season. He threw multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 3, and threw for over 250 yards for the third time this season.
Smith-Schuster is set to be back at some point in the foreseeable future, and Hopkins will likely be more involved as he becomes more comfortable with the playbook. If Mahomes and Kelce can also take the momentum from this game and continue to build off it in future weeks, the Chiefs’ offense may get back to performing the way fans are used to.
