Look what Travis Kelce made Scott Swift do.
After Taylor Swift’s dad, a longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan, supported the Kansas City Chiefs with a vintage sweater on Sunday, Jason Kelce called out the 71-year-old.
“I think his complexion really suits green more if I do say so myself,” the Eagles center, 36, joked on Wednesday’s episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast.
Although Jason believed Scott was supporting “the wrong team” at Gillette Stadium over the weekend, he acknowledged that the outwear “look[ed] good on him.”
Jason admitted, “It’s a nice sweater. I’m not gonna lie.”
Travis, 34, agreed with a laugh, praising his girlfriend’s dad for watching his team beat the New England Patriots in “full Chiefs gear.”
He gushed, “It’s kind of looking real nice on him. … He’s rocking it. And he seems to be enjoying himself.”
The “swaggy, vintage” sweater in question was red with the Missouri-based team’s name written across the front in black capital letters.
Taylor, for her part, paired a gray sweater of her own with a custom white beanie, which had the tight end’s number, 87, stitched on the brim.
Although the Grammy winner got booed by Patriots fans at the match-up, Travis brushed off the negativity.
“There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing,” he told listeners. “But for the most part, everyone was f–king screaming their tail off for her.
“You don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for someone wearing the opposite colors,” the “Catching Kelce” alum continued. “Just shows you how amazing that girl is. They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen.”
At the time, the athlete was “trying to keep it cool” and not “show [his] cards” by reacting the same way.
Taylor has attended many of Travis’ games since the duo went public with their romance in September, frequently sitting in the stands with her beau’s parents.
Travis and Jason joked on a previous podcast episode about the “Cruel Summer” singer having to chat with their dad, Ed Kelce.
“This is a terrifying conversation,” Travis said in October. “I felt terrible for Taylor.”
Ed, meanwhile, told People at the time that the pop star was “very sweet, very charming [and] down-to-earth.”
Although his ex-wife, Donna Kelce, downplayed her meeting with Taylor and called it “OK” on the “Today” show that same month, she walked that statement back in Travis’ WSJ. magazine profile in November.
“He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time,” Donna gushed. “God bless him, he shot for the stars!”
