That things are not exactly going well at Marvel Studios was an open secret, since the poor results of some of its premieres have been added to the controversy around Jonathan Majors, the actor who plays Kang, the studio’s new main villain.
Now Variety has published an extensive article in which, according to several of its sources, the company has several plans on the table with which it will try to improve its situation.
Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the MCU
One of them has strongly caught the attention of all MCU fans, because it is nothing more and nothing less than a new ‘Avengers’ movie with the original cast.
That is, with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, among others. A very striking plan, although Variety questions the viability of the project due to the astronomical cost of such stars (they estimate that Downey Jr.’s salary in ‘Iron Man 3′ was around $25 million).
Beyond new ideas and possible desperate measures, Marvel has a really powerful calendar planned for the short and medium term future.
Because part of the revitalization of the company involves the success that they are able to achieve in films like ‘Captain America: New World Order’ in 2024 and the reboot of ‘Fantastic Four’ in 2025. In this article you have the complete list.
We don’t know if the aforementioned new Avengers’ movie will actually materialize, but if you want to stay up to date with the Marvel Cinematic Universe – or get into it -, here you have the order to watch all Marvel movies and series.
