POLICE have reportedly launched an investigation into NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin.
Irvin’s attorney denied the allegations police in Allen, Texas, are probing, saying there is “absolutely no truth” to the claims.
“He didn’t do anything wrong or inappropriate,” Irvin’s attorney, Levi McCathern, told Pro Football Talk.
Allen Police Department Sergeant Jonathan Maness refused to release details about the probe, telling the outlet the allegations are “unspecified and vague.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to the Allen Police Department for comment.
McCathern told Pro Football Talk he believes the latest allegations against the Hall of Famer “will turn out to be much ado about nothing.”
Last February, the Dallas Cowboys legend, 57, faced accusations of misconduct against a female Marriott employee in Arizona during Super Bowl week.
The accusations led to the NFL network axing the Hall of Famer receiver from their Super Bowl coverage.
Surveillance footage from the hotel lobby obtained by Fox News showed Irvin chatting with his accuser, and he appeared to touch the woman’s elbow twice.
Seconds later, the woman leaves, heading back to the hotel bar, as the former Cowboys star appears to slap himself in the face three times.
Irvin then takes a selfie with another fan and returns to the hotel lobby.
The former NFL receiver denied the conversation was inappropriate and filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against the accuser and Marriott Hotels.
