Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant and WNBA star Rhyne Howard made waves earlier this week when they shared a photo of them together on Instagram. It’s not the first time the pair have been photographed side by side.

This time, however, Durant looked to be resting his head on top of the Atlanta Dream guard, who snapped a closeup selfie of themselves. KD reposted the photo to his social media account.

“Oh hey,” Howard wrote over the image, adding a smiley face with red hearts emoji.

The moment seemingly occurred after the Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 117-116 at Footprint Center in preseason. Howard was in attendance and also shared a photo of herself sitting in the stands.

Back in March, Howard explained on Mercury’s “The It Girls” podcast how she reached out to Durant when finding out he admired her playing style, and described what it was like meeting him in person.

“It had been brought to my attention that I was one of his favorite players and I was like, ‘Thee Kevin Durant loves me?'” Howard said. “And so I was home on a break I went to a game… and I DM’d him and said ‘I think I need to meet you officially, so can I come down?”

Neither party has denied or confirmed the dating rumors. It’s possible they’re just friends, especially considering Howard saying she would marry Durant’s former Golden State Warriors teammate Klay Thompson.
