The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a 2024 SI Swim rookie and will be featured in SI Swimsuit’s 60th anniversary issue, the publication revealed Thursday.
“I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen,” said Brittany, who shot her 2024 rookie campaign on the white sand beaches in northern Belize. “I’m so thankful and honored and so excited to be here with this team.”
The announcement comes days before Super Bowl 2024, with Mahomes’ Chiefs set to face the 49ers on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Brittany revealed in a previous Instagram Story that she has touched down in Las Vegas.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit will have a presence at Super Bowl 2024 — as it has in years past, with some models attending events and brand activations — but it’s unclear what Brittany has planned this week.
In an interview with the publication, Brittany described herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting” while dealing with being under a microscope by media and NFL fans.
“Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself,” the 28-year-old said. “People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters. Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”
Brittany explained that motherhood is the “best thing that’s ever happened” to her and her well-being.
The blonde beauty and Mahomes — who is seeking his third Super Bowl win with the Chiefs — are parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 2, and a 1-year-old son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon.
Brittany, a former professional soccer player and the co-owner of the KC Current NWSL team, isn’t the only NFL WAG on the SI Swimsuit roster.
Olivia Culpo, the fiancée of 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and Christen Harper, who’s engaged to Lions quarterback Jared Goff, are also part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit family.
Jena Sims, the wife of LIV Golf pro Brooks Koepka, is in the 2024 SI Swim rookie class and walked in the SI Swim runway show at Miami Swim Week last July.
Camille Kostek, the girlfriend of retired four-time Super Bowl champ Rob Gronkowski, was named the co-winner of the 2018 Swim Search and landed on the SI Swimsuit cover the following year.
The Killingsworth, Conn., has been with the brand ever since.
