She admitted to feeling “tender, fragile and sometimes frightened.”
She wrote, “It’s hard to believe we have spent all this time together. … I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside.”
However, Lopez noted that “on the inside,” she feels “tender, fragile and sometimes frightened.”
The actress’ emotional tribute, which featured photos of herself standing in front of her cake in blue silk pajamas and a birthday crown, comes two months into split speculation surrounding herself and Affleck.
The upload came after she and Affleck spent her 55th birthday apart.
Lopez rang in her new year with a “Bridgerton”-themed bash.
The couple’s love story began in 2002 when they were engaged for two years before calling it quits and moving on to marry and welcome children with other people.
They reconciled in 2021 and tied the knot in Las Vegas the following year.
A source told Page Six earlier this month that the pair’s romance has “been over” since March, but Affleck, 51, still feels “very protective” of his partner.
She also celebrated with a similarly styled lunch in the Hamptons.
Affleck remained in Los Angeles during the festivities.
The actor was not present for Lopez’s epic “Bridgerton”-themed birthday lunch and ensuing celebration in the Hamptons this week.
The songwriter gave a glimpse of the “splendid evening” festivities via Instagram Wednesday, from her custom Victorian-style gown to the live orchestra performance.
Notably, she and Affleck also spent the Fourth of July and their second wedding anniversary apart this month.
The couple wed in 2022.
They have reportedly “been over for months.”
