BREAKING: Chiefs' DeAndre Hopkins makes very bold comparison for him and Patrick Mahomes

DeAndre Hopkins and Patrick Mahomes displayed great chemistry in their second game together on Monday night, and it looks like the star receiver believes that was merely a small preview of what is to come.

Hopkins had eight catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 30-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. On Tuesday, the 32-year-old shared a photo on social media of Tom Brady and Randy Moss celebrating a big play together.

That was Hopkins’ way of comparing the connection he has with Mahomes to the one Brady and Moss had with the New England Patriots. Of course, it would be an understatement to say Hopkins and Mahomes have a long way to go.

Moss caught 23 touchdown passes from Brady during the Patriots’ historic 2007 season. That still stands as the most receiving touchdowns in a single season. Brady threw for 50 touchdowns that year, which was a record until Peyton Manning surpassed him with 55 in 2013.

Chiefs fans would also point out that Moss and Brady never won a championship together, so Hopkins should be careful what he wishes for.

Hopkins proved on Monday night that he can be the No. 1 receiver the Chiefs have been missing since Rashee Rice suffered a season-ending knee injury. He even had a custom touchdown celebration lined up and everything. You have to admire the confidence.
