In an inspiring display of philanthropy, Brittany Mahomes recently expressed her heartfelt gratitude following a charity gala that showcased the remarkable impact she and her husband, Patrick Mahomes, have made in Kansas City.
Their initiative, which has exceeded $1 million, aims to uplift local youth through health and wellness programs.
Since launching ‘15 and The Mahomes Foundation’ in 2019, Patrick Mahomes has dedicated his efforts to improving the lives of children in the community. With the foundation, he has focused on various charitable causes, leveraging his platform as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback to create meaningful change.
At the recent gala held at the Loews Kansas City hotel, Brittany shone brightly in a stunning blue gown, embracing her pregnancy while celebrating their philanthropic accomplishments.
She took to Instagram to share her appreciation, writing, “Thank you to everyone who has and continues to show support for @15andmahomies 💙🙏.” Her message reflected a genuine sense of gratitude, noting, “Truly a blessing to be able to make an impact in these communities.”
The gala proved to be a remarkable success, with over 850 supporters in attendance. Patrick’s foundation generously granted $1,077,000 to 20 Kansas City charities, a testament to the Mahomes’ commitment to their community. Among those present were notable figures like Mecole Hardman and head coach Andy Reid, further highlighting the event’s significance.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was the renaming of a local clubhouse to the ‘15 and the Mahomies Unit.’ This transformation is expected to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children in the area. Jason Roth, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, expressed his gratitude, stating, “This investment Brittany and Patrick and the foundation have made is more about perpetuity. It’s about the stability of the clubs being here every day, having a warm meal, wonderful staff and tutors, and a safe place for young people.”
The clubhouse has been serving the Kansas City community since 1960, providing a safe haven and educational opportunities for children aged 5 to 18. As the foundation continues to thrive, exciting plans for activities and programs are underway, ensuring that the Mahomes couple remains an integral part of the community.
In a world where celebrity influence can often be superficial, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have chosen to harness their fame for a greater purpose, making a lasting impact on the lives of Kansas City’s youth. Their commitment not only shines a light on the needs of the community but also inspires others to get involved and make a difference.
