Caitlin Clark named WNBA Rookie of the Year
NDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (KCAU) – Indiana Fever guard and former Hawkeye Caitlin Clark has been named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, according to multiple reports.
The West Des Moines native becomes the third Fever player to earn Rookie of the Year honors. Clark averaged 19.2 points per game, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game on 41.7 percent shooting. Clark etched her name into the WNBA record books during her first campaign with the Fever, notching the most assists in a single game (19) and most in a single season (337) in WNBA history.
Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double and also was the first to make 100 three-pointers in a single season.
