Celine Dion is adored by fans across the world, with her beautiful voice ringing out through homes and cars. But this week, one lucky person’s dream came true when they met the star in person and even sung her a song.
Young singer Freida Solomon was at the right place at the right time, when she spotted Celine in New York City departing the Four Seasons hotel this week. Instead of getting lost in the crowd of other supporters, Freida courageously stepped forward toward the car and began to sing one of her favourite Celine Dion songs.
In a video, which has since gone viral online, Frieda can be seen singing beautifully to the star who remains inside the vehicle. At one point the driver starts to drive away, and Celine promptly tells him to stop so she can finish listening to her fan.

Once Frieda finishes her short and impromptu performance Celine then reaches her arm outside the car window and gives the young fan a fist pump.
“Thank you so much for that,” Celine tells her, with a smile spread broadly across her face. “You’re beautiful. Thank you for singing to me.”
To which an excited Freida replies: “You’ve sung for me my whole life.”

Sharing her joy online, Freida explained how beautiful and kind Celine was and how grateful she was to have shared such a special moment with her idol.

“Got to sing to @celinedion today and she was gracious enough to listen until the very end,” she wrote on Twitter alongside the video. “She was so incredibly kind and beautiful … I feel so blessed to have met such a genuinely beautiful icon like her.”

Fellow Celine Dion fans expressed their excitement as well, leaving comments for Frieda on her post, with many commending the young singer for taking the leap and singing for the star.

“I love this! A beautiful voice and such a wonderful woman to take the time to listen,” @seana wrote. “Celine is my favorite [sic].”

“I think you are one courageous girl!” @MeltinginHouston said. “I would never have the guts to do this. I have been a fan since Unison but I would have been speechless.”

“Always takes the time to appreciate a fan,” @AnnetteMartin added. “Such a beautiful soul she has.”
