Diddy’s kid accuses Jay-Z and Beyoncé of using his father as a scapegoat and attacks them for it.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z were friends with Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs and even attended the rapper’s infamous parties, but they’re yet to speak out on his arrest last month
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are planning to “keep quiet” about the legal drama surrounding Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.
The 54-year-old rapper is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits federal trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025. Diddy was arrested on charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
While Combs has vehemently denied all charges, his friends Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not spoken out about the allegations against him.
The showbiz power couple have previously been friendly with Diddy and have been pictured attending parties hosted by the rapper.
Speaking about how Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not yet spoken out, a source admitted: “They’ve remained conspicuously silent following news of Diddy’s indictment.”
Speaking to In Touch Magazine, the source added: “Few, if anyone, have rushed to Diddy’s defense. The last thing Bey and Jay want is to implicate themselves, so they’re going to keep quiet.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé weren’t named in Diddy’s 14-page indictment which was unsealed in mid-September. Neither of them has been arrested or charged for anything in connection to Diddy’s criminal case, or accused in any lawsuit of wrongdoing.
The source’s comments come after conspiracy theorists started speculating online about Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s connection to P Diddy. The speculation was also shared on Piers Morgan’s show Piers Morgan: Uncensored.
The TV host interviewed Jaguar Wright about the legal proceedings surrounding Diddy. Jaguar falsely accused Beyoncé and Jay-Z of having hundreds of victims.
Piers then received a letter from the couple’s attorney denying the allegations. The 59-year-old apologized for his guest’s comments and edited out Jaguar’s comments.
Piers said: “Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were ‘totally false’ and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview.”
He added: added: “The thing about platforms, the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear. That’s why we invited [Wright] on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine.”
Speaking about what happened on the show, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s attorney Alex Spiro told TMZ: “There’s rumors and then there’s nonsense and this is one step further, right? This is a pointed and formal accusation of something and I felt it needed to be responded to, so I think somebody reported it was a cease and desist it wasn’t that.”
“It was quite bluntly an ultimatum which is remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false or a court’s going to order you to and so I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly he meaning Piers Morgan removing it and apologizing for it.”
