Donna Kelce Reveals Actual Reason Taylor Swift Missed Travis Kelce's Birthday Party

Before the Kansas City Chiefs‘ win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday over the weekend at his Kelce Car Jam show in Kansas City.

Many notable stars attended the event, such as Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, parents Ed and Donna Kelce, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

One person who notably did not attend the event was Kelce’s girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift.

Just a day after “Monday Night Football,” Donna had more to celebrate as she was named one of Glamour’s Women of the Year.

In an interview at the event, Donna discussed what it’s been like watching her son alongside Swift, revealing the actual reason the star singer missed Travis’ birthday event in the process.

“I think she’s a little busy with some of her concerts coming up,” Kelce said. “You know, she needs to practice and stuff, but she was definitely there for the game.”

Swift’s no-show at the Kelce Car Jam came as no surprise to Travis. In an interview with Page Six during the event, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star revealed that his girlfriend would not be there but would be at the game. And sure enough, she was.

“She will not be here,” Kelce told Page Six. “I know she’s coming in for the game,”

After missing the previous two Chiefs games, both on the road, Swift made her return to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night. Many speculated her reasoning for missing Kansas City’s games in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Still, reports indicate it was for a similar reason to why she missed the Kelce Car Jam, along with some security concerns following the August terrorist incident in Vienna, Austria.

Swift has a few shows coming up for the tail-end of her Eras Tour. The tour started back in March 2023 and has seen a two-month break following Vienna. Swift’s next concert is planned to be at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on October 18. She will make her rounds in a few other USA cities before heading to Canada in November.
