“Fans Question Alex Cooper’s Music Taste After She Brings Emo Band on Stage for Call Her Daddy Tour!”

Alex Cooper brought yet another guest out on stage with her during her Call Her Daddy Unwell Tour.

This time the podcast host welcomed pop punk sensations All Time Low to the stage as Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat performed their famous throwback song Dear Maria, Count Me In. The band recently re-released the 2007 song as an “All Time Low’s Version” which comes as part of a trend of artists revisiting their old music spurred by Taylor Swift.

Gaskarth and Barakat posted photos on Instagram alongside Cooper where they hung out backstage. Gaskarth wore a casual white t-shirt with a light-wash jean jacket and a black pair of pants. He added a black baseball cap with an embroidered skull design. Barakat opted for a more emo-inspired look with all-black, including a t-shirt which advocated “to keep kids off drugs” with the DARE logo.

Cooper kept her outfit casual, donning an oversized Texas football T-shirt. However, she went full-on glam for her makeup which gave her an air-brushed appearance. Her blonde hair swooped around her. On stage, she switched into something a bit more honky tonk, donning a brown, leather set which included a big buckle belt and cowgirl hat and boots.

The collaboration was shocking to fans who weren’t used to the alt act being so mainstream. However, some put the pieces together that Cooper does have a past of loving rock music. A fan wrote on Reddit: “I was like ‘wait what?’ when I saw Alex’s post but then I remembered Alex from CHD talked about Mayday Parade recently so she must have grown up listening to these bands. I don’t listen to her podcast other than clips I see online but I wouldn’t mind if ATL went on for an interview.”

Another wrote: “She has discussed growing up a fan of this type of music. She was a major Avril fan and interviewed her this past year, so it seems not too far of a stretch for her to interview them as well. I’m a very casual fan of her pod. Sometimes, she’s a bit over the top for my preference, but she’s definitely good at interviewing people. She has made me interested in a handful of people I had never head of prior to listening to their episodes with her.”
