Basketball player Bronny James has two younger siblings: brother Bryce James and sister Zhuri Nova
Get to know Bronny James’ younger bro, Bryce.
The 2024 NBA Draft prospect and oldest child of LeBron and his wife Savannah has two siblings, Bryce James and Zhuri Nova, with the former being a rising basketball star in his own right.
The family shares a close relationship, from supporting each other at basketball games to speaking highly of one another during interviews.
Bronny, who is a projected second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, credits Bryce and his family for his ability to manage the attention and expectations placed on him throughout his basketball journey to date. “My siblings, my parents, my friends really help me get through,” he told the NBA.
While Bronny has been able to lean on Bryce for support, both of them have the support of their legendary father. Most recently, LeBron reflected on his journey raising his sons with an emotional post on Instagram.
“Not a feeling in the fkn world better than being around raising my boys to MEN! Pops over here getting emotional as hell just thinking about yall journey so far! Thank you both for allowing me to be your DAD and be apart of your compass through life’s trials and tribulations!” the Los Angeles Lakers star captioned the post.

He was born during the 2007 NBA Finals
Bryce Maximus James was born to LeBron James and Savannah James in Cleveland, Ohio on June 14, 2007. He is the couple’s middle child, who are also parents to son Bronny born in October 2004 and daughter Zhuri born in October 2014.
The timing of Bryce’s birth couldn’t be more perfect for a family of basketball players as he was born right in the middle of the 2007 NBA Finals when LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers were preparing to make a comeback against the San Antonio Spurs.
He has received numerous Division I college basketball offers
Bryce attended a few different high schools before graduating from Sierra Canyon School, a private preparatory day school in Los Angeles. LeBron was nonetheless a proud dad when his son graduated from the middle school in May 2021, posting a celebratory tribute to Bryce on Instagram.
“ CONGRATULATIONS to my guy guy Bryce Maximus on graduating middle . . HS up next! Proud of you kid! Keep going to the. #JamesGang” he captioned the post.
Throughout his high school career, Bryce has played basketball, sometimes sharing photos from his games on his Instagram account. In August 2022, he received his first Division I scholarship offer from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa., to play basketball.
“Blessed to receive my first d1 offer from Duquesne #godukes,” he wrote alongside the college’s logo in his Instagram Stories. LeBron reposted his son’s post and added, “AYYYEEE!!! LET’S GO MAXIMUS @_JUSTBRYCE.”
In October 2023, Bryce received an offer from Ohio State to play college basketball, sharing the exciting news of his second official offer on X (formerly Twitter).
Bryce currently plays on the LeBron James AAU squad “Team Strive for Greatness.”
He is signed with Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports
Bryce signed an NIL contract with Klutch Sports in December 2022, a sports agency founded by LeBron’s friend Rich Paul that handles the player’s negotiations with companies looking to sign him with endorsement contracts during his prep career.
Klutch Sports announced the exciting news on X, writing, “Welcome Bryce James!” Bryce, who’s part of the 2025 recruiting class, joins Bronny and a number of prominent celebrities and athletes on the agency’s stacked roster.
He and Bronny covered Sports Illustrated with LeBron
Twenty years after LeBron starred in a 2002 issue of Sports Illustrated that famously proclaimed him as “The Chosen One,” the four-time NBA champion made the cover once again — but was joined by his sons, Bryce and Bronny.
In the issue, LeBron talked about whether he’ll stay in the NBA long enough to play with Bronny and the possibility of remaining in the league even longer to play with Bryce.
“I feel like I could play for quite a while,” he told the magazine in 2022. “So it’s all up to my body, but more importantly, my mind.”
He has the support of LeBron
LeBron has given his kids his full support, including helping them perfect their basketball game and voicing his admiration for the gentlemen they’ve become.
The Lakers star celebrated Bryce’s 10th birthday in a big way in 2017 when he shared a video on Instagram of himself singing “Happy Birthday” to his son. “Happy Bday Bryce Maximus!! Can’t believe you’re 10 years old man,” he wrote at the time. “Time is serious flying. Love you Young and u make me proud to be your father every single day!! #ZhuriLikeThatsMyCakeToo .
