Many celebrities, from Jay Z to Leonardo DiCaprio, have attended his parties. Yet, some rappers, like 50 Cent and Eminem, have kept their distance. For years, 50 Cent has mocked Diddy, whom he has known since the start of his career. 50 Cent recognized Diddy’s odd behavior early on and said he would never attend his parties. He once joked that Diddy “hugs too tight,” front and back, which he found uncomfortable. According to him, this was something a man would say to a woman, not to another man.
The two have always been in the same circles, yet 50 Cent never considered him a friend, saying their interactions were strictly business. Their feud dates back to 50 Cent’s 2006 song “The Ban,” where he insinuates that Diddy might know more than he lets on about Biggie’s murder. He also hinted at Diddy’s possible connection to Tupac’s death, mentioning a recent article that included details from a 1995 meeting where a gang member reportedly admitted to the murder. This man apparently avoided discussing certain things in depth, leading people to wonder what he might be hiding. 50 Cent claimed that Diddy allegedly offered anything for those responsible for Tupac’s death.
Eminem has also taken jabs at Diddy, even playing with words in one of his songs by leaving out a letter in “Rapper,” making it sound more like “Raper.” In another song, he referenced a scandalous video of Diddy with his ex-girlfriend. Back in 2003, when Diddy presented Eminem with the award for Best Rap Album, fans noticed Diddy didn’t seem particularly excited. At the time, Eminem was openly mocking Diddy in his lyrics, likely making Diddy uncomfortable.
Another rapper with a strained relationship with Diddy is Drake. Diddy liked Drake’s song “Zero to a Hundred,” which was produced by Boi-1da and originally sent to both of them. Diddy reportedly wanted Drake to ghostwrite for him on the song, but Drake kept it for himself. This led to tension, culminating in an alleged altercation between the two in December 2014. Rumors say Diddy slapped Drake, but Drake supposedly shrugged it off.
Drake hinted at his disinterest in Diddy’s notorious parties, sharing a clip from *The Big Short* in 2015 with the caption, “I only hang out with my fashion friends,” implying he didn’t attend Diddy’s events. Although Kanye West often throws subtle shade, he has been far more direct in his comments toward Diddy. In 2022, when Diddy criticized Kanye’s fashion choices, Kanye responded aggressively, accusing him of being a “fed.”
