Chloë Grace Moretz revealed she identifies as a ‘gay woman’ as she urged Americans to go vote in the upcoming presidential election.
On Friday, the 27-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her sticker after voting early in New York City and shared an important message in her caption.
She endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the election, explaining why she voted for the democratic candidates with a personal story.
‘I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris,’ she began. ‘There is so much on the line this election.’
The Carrie star — who first sparked engagement rumors with her girlfriend Kate Harrison, 33, earlier this year when they were spotted wearing matching rings — also addressed her sexuality for the first time.
‘I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor,’ she added. ‘Kamala Harris will protect that for us.
‘I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman,’ Moretz continued.
‘We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.’
Then, she urged her followers to get to the polls and cast their votes in the election.

Her public endorsement comes over half a year after she sparked engagement rumors with her girlfriend, model Kate Harrison.
While visiting Disneyland in late April, the couple were seen with matching rings on their left hands.
Moretz and the Playboy model — who have been dating for over five years — both sported gold bands on their ring fingers.
Moretz — who previously spoke about how the healthiest relationship she’s ever seen is her brother and his boyfriend — was also seen wearing the same ring during her most recent public sighting.
In early October, she flashed the sparkler while making an appearance at the Louis Vuittion Paris Fashion Week show.
Moretz was first romantically linked to Harrison in December 2018 when they were spotted sharing a kiss after dinner at Nobu Malibu.
They confirmed their romance on social media last year when Harrison wished Moretz a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ and shared a photo of the two. At the time, Moretz reposted the photo on her own Instagram Story.
She also previously had an on-and-off relationship with Brooklyn Beckham from 2014 to 2018.
