Dak Prescott spent a few minutes after Thursday’s practice pushing Ezekiel Elliott around in a cart outside of the The Star.
The Cowboys rookies were loading a Salvation Army truck with Christmas gifts purchased by players, coaches and front office staff as part of The Salvation Army Angel Tree program.
“It’s definitely just humbling to see the list what the kids need, what they want,” Prescott said. “Sometimes I think you just overthink that and we’re not as grateful for what we have. To see that list and be able to go shop for them, it was definitely humbling.”

The Angel Tree program provides personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season.
Dez Bryant recorded the rookies loading the truck for a Facebook Live video.
“I think that’s pretty cool, being able to give back to the kids, especially the unfortunate,” Bryant said. “It’s always a special time of the year.”
