Jalen Hurts has an affinity for Rolex that he wants to share with his teammates.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback reportedly gifted all members of his offensive-line brand new Rolex watches for Christmas this year.
The exact model and design of the Rolexes is unknown but the iconic timepieces are famously worth thousands of dollars.
We’re yet to get a glimpse of the gifts but Jason Kelce confirmed he’d received the lavish present on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis.
Speaking about Hurts’ history of gift-giving, Jason said, “Jalen, the first year he was starter, got Jordans – red and blacks.
“Last year was the Louis Vuitton bags.
“And then this year he got us watches, not just any watches… pretty nice watch.”
Hurts has sported a number of Rolex watches over the years.
At the Time100 Next event in New York in October he wore a chic Rolex Day-Date in 18-carat pink-gold alloy with an olive-green dial – worth a reported $41,500.
He has also worn a two tone (yellow gold and steel) Rolex Daytona – which retails for $19,100 – and a silver Rolex Datejust – worth $8,050.
After word of his generous gifts got out, fans suggested Hurts is rewarding his teammates for helping him break an NFL record.
In the first quarter of the Eagles 33-25 win over the New York Giants on Christmas, the QB rushed for his 15th touchdown of the season.
In doing so he broke Cam Newton’s NFL record for most rushing scored by a quarterback in a single season. The former Panthers star held the record at 14 rushing TDs for a QB in 2011.
Hurts scored on a 1-yard run via the controversial “tush push” on the Eagles’ second offensive play of the game.
It has been a hugely divisive play this season and has made the Eagles virtually unstoppable on QB sneaks and short yardage situations.
The play involves the offensive line literally pushing Hurts, with the ball in hand, through the opposing team’s defense.
Critics claim it isn’t a legitimate football play and is akin to something you’d see in rugby.
It has seen Hurts convert a number of short rushing touchdowns this season, many of which have been just a couple of yards.
Remarkably, Cam Newton’s 14th rushing TD itself in 2011 was longer than all 15 of Hurts’ rushing TDs this season combined.
