The Golden State Warriors have relied on the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green throughout their championship-winning seasons in the modern era.
However, every good thing needs to end at one point or the other, and the Warriors dynasty is unarguably on it’s last legs.
But at the same time, the Warriors have a young core of players like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.
Kuminga, in particular, has an extremely high ceiling and could become a star in the league in the coming years.
In fact, Warriors star Klay Thompson heaped huge praise on the young forward following the team’s recent loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, as revealed via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“You forget how young he is. He’s gonna be a star one day,” Thompson said.
Since making his debut in the 2021-22 NBA season, Jonathan Kuminga has improved his game with each season.
Now, in the 2023-24 NBA season, Kuminga is undoubtedly ready to take the next step in his career.
Previously, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr didn’t give many minutes to Jonathan Kuminga, but that has changed over the last few games.
Thankfully, the decision is paying off for the organization, as Kuminga is playing incredibly well in the stretch.
Speaking of his performance against the Milwaukee Bucks, Kuminga had 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists for the Warriors.
Although Kuminga’s performance wasn’t enough to help the Warriors avoid a 118-129 defeat against the Bucks, it was enough for Thompson to believe that the third-year veteran will one day become a star in the league.
After all, Kuminga is just 21 years old right now.
