The Dallas Cowboys season came to an end last week when the team that hadn’t lost a home game all year got demolished by the Green Bay Packers in the Wild card round.
The wide receiver room, led by CeeDee Lamb, helped the Dallas Cowboys to become the highest-scoring offense in football but the team failed the most when the lights were the brightest.
Things were already bad, but now they have the potential to be even worse as family is now causing friction.
Leta Ramirez, the mother of CeeDee Lamb, took to Facebook and blasted Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in a brutal way. She stated that “Dak ain’t it” and suggested the team “get rid of his ass.”
The broadcast of Sunday’s Cowboys-Packers matchup featured a heavy narrative of tension between Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
Based on the broadcast, Lamb was clearly upset by how the game was going as his first catch didn’t come until the two-minute warning of the first half.
NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported that Prescott explained the exchanges as “two competitors wanted to be perfect and we weren’t perfect early. Far from being disconnected.”
It’s a painful way to go out for the Cowboys but even more so for these two.
Lamb’s 135 receptions are the fifth-most in a single season, and his 1,749 yards ranks him seventh all-time. Prescott is coming off the best regular season of his career yet, as he threw for 4,516 yards and a league-high 36 touchdowns.
In the end, those numbers are just numbers that did nothing to help the team in the postseason.
