In a fiery twist to the traditional pre-game festivities at Buffalo Bills tailgates, a fan’s attempt to jump onto a flaming folding table took a dangerous turn in the leadup to Sunday’s AFC Divisional matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The incident unfolded as a fan, ironically sporting a Detroit Lions sweatshirt, enlisted the help of a friend to launch him off a truck bed onto a folding table that had been set ablaze.
The goal, as tradition dictates, was to break the table upon impact.
However, the “celebration” took a turn when the fan stood up, only to realize that the fire had spread to his pants and the lower part of his back.
HOLY SH*T: #BILLS FAN GOT BODY SLAMMED INTO A BURNING TABLE AND THEN HIS BUTT WAS ON FIRE

This is a first.

In a frantic attempt to extinguish the flames, he collapsed to the ground, where fellow fans rushed to help by patting him down.
“This is the stupidest sh*t. I just will never understand it!” one user commented on X. (She’s certainly not alone with that opinion.)

Unfortunately for Buffalo fans, this incident pretty much mirrored the actual game.
The Bills had waited so long to be in this position and host a game of that magnitude at home in front of their fans … But they blew it, as Patrick Mahomes led the feisty Chiefs to a 27-24 upset win to reach their sixth straight AFC Championship Game.
Were you surprised the Bills lost?
Will the dramatic win catapult the Chiefs to yet another Super Bowl?
More importantly, what are your thoughts on this particular Buffalo tradition of jumping on flaming folding tables? … Seems like fun, right???
